RIGHT. It’s time to start believing in yourself again okay? Because in case you’ve forgotten, you are so amazing and strong and you can literally do this !!
life doesn’t end at 25. life doesn’t end at 27 or 30 either. life doesn’t end at 35 or 45. life doesn’t end at 65. it doesn’t matter how old you are, when you decide to get your high school degree or start a family. it doesn’t matter when you decide to go run a marathon or go travel the world. life is not made up by numbers, age is, and your age is not all that you are. you got time. life doesn’t end until it ends.
One of the best ways to begin changing your inner dialogue is to first identify your limiting core beliefs and then use the “So what Method”. Challenge those negative core beliefs by converting them to realistic thoughts and allow yourself to gain the ability to achieve your goals and become the person your have the capacity to be.
Here’s an example of one of my personal core beliefs and how I challenged it.
Core belief trigger: I don’t have a job and I do not have the perfect resume and my job hunting skills are average.
Limiting core belief: I am not good enough.
Core belief converted thought: So what?! Finding a job is hard, and it’s okay not to have a perfect resume straight out of university and to have average job hunting skills. At least you’re putting some effort into it versus just not doing it at all. You’re gonna get there and being average in your working life doesn’t mean you’re not special or worthy. You are good enough.
I suggest you to try this method as it as helped me. I found it in a book called “The mental toughness advantage” by Douglas Clydesdale Comstock.
Last but not least: don’t give up on yourself. You got this.
